While many of us would jump at the opportunity to work with Beyoncé, actor Michael Ealy turned down an offer to star in her Irreplaceable music video and, well, his reason is pretty good.

During a promotional interview with Busy Tonight for new flick The Intruder, Michael revealed his stint as Beyonce’s love interested in her Halo music video was actually the second time he’d been approached for one of her videos.

"I said no to Irreplaceable because I didn’t want to be the guy to who she says, ‘To the left, to the left’ and all that. Who wants to be that guy? It’s like the worst thing," he explained as the audience burst into laughter.

Fortunately for him, Queen Bey was interested in working with him again and Michael was asked to star in her Halo video.

"Then they called back again when they did Halo and I was like, ‘Let me hear the song’. I heard the song and I was like, ‘I can do that for sure’."

And what was it like to work with Beyoncé? Michael said it was as amazing as we all imagine it would be.

"It’s as amazing as people think it is. And she sings to you. I would hear her sing and be like, ‘Oh my gosh! Focus, act Michael act’."
