Cape Town - Jennifer Lopez posted a message to fans on Instagram after her concert at Madison Square Gardens was evacuated during the five-hour power outage in New York.
The blackout happened on Saturday night, following a reported transformer fire.
At the time of the power outage, Jennifer was ready to take the stage at Madison Square Garden. The singer is currently travelling across America as part of her it's My Party tour. Following the blackout, the singer's concert was forced to evacuate.
The artist then took to Instagram, as the evacuation was taking place, to apologise to concertgoers.
In the post, she said: "The power is out in NYC and at MSG. Heartbroken to say tonight's show is cancelled," she wrote along with a video message. "We will reschedule. Love you all!!! Stay safe!"

The singer then posted, the following day, that the show could be rescheduled for Monday.
