Johannesburg - Nicki Minaj has released the cover art for her much anticipated third album Queen.

Taking to Instagram, the rapper revealed a NSFW cover for the album that drops 10 August.

It features a half dressed Nicki wearing an ensemble of pasties, beaded underwear, and headgear outstretched on a tree limb.

In her caption, Nicki confirmed that the picture was shot by fashion photographers Mert and Marcus, adding that the album is “my greatest work to date.”

Her third studio album, which was initially meant to drop on 15 June, will be her first release since 2014's The Pinkprint.

She’s so far released two songs off the album, Barbie Tingz and Chun-Li.

In the build up to her album release, it’s been announced that Nicki will be among the performers for the 2018 BET Awards which takes place at the Los Angeles' Microsoft Theatre on June 24.

Later this year, she will also perform at the Made-in-America Music Festival which takes place in Philadelphia between 1 and 2 September.
