One Direction: Where are they now?

Cape Town - One Direction has been on a break for 7 months. What are the lads up to and where are they now?

It's hard to believe that one of the biggest boy bands have been on hiatus for over half a year and while they promised they would be back, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson have been hard at work building their own brands.

Rumours of solo albums, movies and more have circuited but what exactly are the members of One Direction up to?

Where are they now:

1. Harry Styles

Since the split Harry has made the most progress on his own. The 22-year-old rid his long brunette locks and is currently tied up filming Christopher Nolan's World War II drama, Dunkirk.

Harry is also believed to have signed a £80m record deal with Columbia Records.

2. Liam Payne

Since the split, Liam Payne found has a new love - Cheryl Cole. The 22-year-old has put his plans for a solo career on hold to enjoy precious time with his girlfriend.

The loved up couple recently added a new member to their family by adopting a cute little Chihuahua.

3. Niall Horan

Niall Horan has started working on his first solo album. He was recently spotted leaving London's Tileyard Studios where he is believed to be laying down songs for his first record since the extended hiatus.

The 22-year-old singer would be the second of the group to launch a solo career, after Zayn Malik quit in March 2015.

4. Louis Tomlinson

Louis Tomlinson is taking daddy duty very seriously as he is busy looking after his son Freddie Reign, who he has with his ex-girlfriend Briana Jungwirth.

It was recently reported that the 24-year-old filed for joint custody of the tiny tot after Briana started being "inconsistent in giving Louis access to him."
