Cape Town - The City of Chicago has released photographs taken by building inspectors during an inspection inside R Kelly's Chicago music studio that they say show code violations.
Authorities inspected plumbing, electrical systems and carpentry in the studio earlier this month and found a number of violations including evidence the industrial space was used as a residence.

Kelly's attorney, Steve Greenburg, denied claims that the studio was used as a residence but added that it should not be surprising that it included places for sleeping or taking breaks.

This comes in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against Kelly in recent weeks. The Lifetime documentary series Surviving R Kelly recently drew fresh attention to the allegations and the #MeToo and #MuteRKelly movements have held protests outside the studio demanding promoters stop booking his concerts.
