Pussy Riot to perform in Cape Town but won't say where

Cape Town - Members of the Russian feminist protest punk rock group Pussy Riot are in Cape Town.

Kurachova, Veronika Nikulshina and Olga Pakhtusova spoke to the media at the V&A Waterfront on Friday after having secretly been in the Mother City for two weeks.

The activists, dressed in police uniforms, ran onto the soccer field to briefly disrupt the match between France and Croatia during the 2018 Soccer World Cup.

According to the collective they were protesting policing powers and demanding reforms in Russia.

The fourth participant in the soccer invasion, Peter Verzilov, was not at the event, as he is still in recovering in Germany after being poisoned.

The group are reportedly set to perform in Cape Town over the weekend, but would not give any further information about the performance.
