Remember that little girl from Missy Elliot videos? She's all grown up now and made an epic appearance at The VMAs

Cape Town - Missy Elliott's fantastic performance at the 2019 VMAs on Monday got everyone talking for a bunch of reasons.

The rapper performed some of her most famous tracks like Get Ur Freak On, Lose Control, and Work It in a medley.

And in a shock move, during the performance, Missy brought one of the most popular young dancers from Work It, Alyson Stoner, seventeen years after she made her debut in 2002.

The show stopping extravaganza was Missy's first at the MTV VMAs in more than a decade.

Missy was honoured with the Video Vanguard Award at the event. Earlier this year she made history as the first female rapper inducted into the Songwriting Hall of Fame. On top of all that Missy released her first new album in fourteen years on Friday.
