REPORTS: Maroon 5 to perform Super Bowl Halftime show 2019

Cape Town - According to reports by Variety on Wednesday, Maroon 5 will be the halftime entertainment at the Super Bowl in 2019.

The event will take place on 3 February 2019 in Atlanta.

Previous performers at the sporting event have included Beyoncé, Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga.

Earlier this year Justin Timberlake performed at the prestigious American football showcase and the reception to his energy-filled mini-concert was mixed.

About the reports regarding Maroon 5’s possible performance, NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said on Twitter: “It's a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show. We are continuing to work with Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show.”
