Cape Town – Sho Madjozi is set to perform at BUDX, Miami over the Super Bowl LIV weekend – and will take her place on stage alongside the likes of global superstars The Black Eyed Peas, Halsey and Diplo.
In a statement to the press, the 27-year-old said: "It's such a privilege to be invited to show the world's creatives the vibrancy of African music". Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will be the halftime performers this year and the event will take place on Monday, 3 February.
Along with Sho, two other South Africans Karabo "Poppy" Moletsane and Moonchild Sanelly - will join 200 influential creatives from over 20 countries in a curated jam-packed itinerary of imaginative activations including being a king of music, art, fashion and sports together with electrifying live performances and unforgettable collaborations.
Culture-maker, Karabo, will stamp her unapologetic expression and her Afro-futuristic visuals at the official live BUDX Art activation by customizing sneakers, coinciding with the biggest sporting event of the year: The Super Bowl LIV weekend.
Moonchild Sanelly will be curating the content of her BUDX experience. Moonchild's signature blue hair, poetry-turned-rap and spectacular stage performances have earned her 1000s of fans internationally, including Beyoncé who included Sanelly on her album The Lion King: The Gift.
