Stranger Things soundtrack gets official release date

Cape Town – Stranger Things have been on everyone’s lips and now the TV series has announced the release date of its much-anticipated soundtrack.

Released in July, the science fiction series created by The Duffer Brothers has been a runaway success. And while everyone is talking about the spot on references to everything 80s, one thing that stands out in the series is the music.

Scored by two members of Austin-based band S U R V I V E, Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon, the soundtrack will be released as two volumes, with the first one dropping this Friday, 12 August.

The Stranger Things Facebook page posted the following on Wednesday: "The perfect original soundtrack for bike rides and monster hunts. Volume 1 available Friday. Volume 2, 8/19."
