Cape Town – Taylor Swift's entire music catalogue will soon be owned by celebrity music manager Scooter Braun.
The Look What You Made Me Do singer wrote a scathing post on Tumblr calling Scooter's acquisition of her music, her worst case scenario.
Scooter's company Ithaca Holdings acquired Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Label Group as part of a $300 million deal, reports Billboard.
Taylor was signed to the label for 2006-2017 before moving to the Universal Music Group.
According to CNN this sale prevents Taylor from owning her first six albums.
In her post on the social media site the 29-year-old claimed that she was bullied by Scooter who manages Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, and that she had pleaded with Scott to own her own work.
"For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work. Instead I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and ‘earn’ one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in. I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future. I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past. Music I wrote on my bedroom floor and videos I dreamed up and paid for from the money I earned playing in bars, then clubs, then arenas, then stadiums."
She went on to say that she heard about the news that he had gained the rights to her work as it was announced to the world.
"Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work that I wasn’t given an opportunity to buy. Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it", she wrote.
"This is my worst case scenario", she continued. "This is what happens when you sign a deal at fifteen to someone for whom the term ‘loyalty’ is clearly just a contractual concept."
Taylor ended the post on a positive not saying she is thankful that she is now with a label that believes she should own anything she creates and promoted her new album Lover which will be out on 23 August.

Justin Bieber took to Instagram to defend his manager. In the post he wrote: "Scooter has had your back since the days you graciously let me open up for you.! As the years have passed we haven’t crossed paths and gotten to communicate our differences, hurts or frustrations.
"So for you to take it to social media and get people to hate on scooter isn’t fair. What were you trying to accomplish by posting that blog? seems to me like it was to get sympathy u also knew that in posting that your fans would go and bully scooter."
He went on to say that both he and Scooter love her and that they would be willing to resolved any conflict.
