This is the mouth-watering amount of money Mariah Carey could earn for being the face of a British chip brand

Cape Town - Mariah Carey is reportedly being eyed to take over from the Spice Girls as the face of Walkers crisps this festive season in a deal worth £9 million (which is about R168 013 077 at the current rate of conversion).

British tabloid The Sun quotes an inside source who says: "Having the Spice Girls on board was a real coup for Walkers in terms of names they'd be able to work with in future. They approached Mariah earlier this year, and it's all going through now."

Mariah is well-known for her unique demands, but there's no word yet on what she could ask the British brand for on top of the rumoured packet full of cash.

Local fans will remember that when Mariah toured South Africa in 2016, she demanded that lights on Table Mountain change colour to purple ahead of her performance.
