Johannesburg - Rapper Rich the Kid and his entourage were attacked on Tuesday afternoon in a famous West Hollywood studio, where Usher was also recording in at the time.
According to TMZ, multiple shots were fired at the famous Westlake Recording Studio.
The incident happened while Usher was inside the studio. Rich the Kid, who appeared to be the target of the robbery, was outside during the attack.
Rich’s entourage members were also ambushed, and only one bodyguard was hit.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported on the robbery, though the report did not name the victims.
According to law enforcement, the victims said three suspects confronted them in the passage behind the studio and “demanded their money and jewellery”. The suspects were reported to be seen fleeing the scene with a lot of cash and jewellery while firing shots.
A few hours before the armed robbery, Rich posted an Instagram photo of himself holding tons of cash while standing in front of a Lamborghini,
“For motivational purposes only,” he captioned it.
This famous studio has been home to recording artists such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, and Madonna.
Police are investigating the attack and haven’t made any arrests, nor identified the suspects.
