Cape Town – We recently had the opportunity to chat to American blues guitarist Doc Maclean.
Born in the Mississippi Delta, Doc has been travelling since his teens playing alongside and learning from Blues greats such as Son House, Peg Leg Sam, Sam Chatmon and Muddy Waters.
He is currently on his second African tour, Cross Bones Blues, where he finds himself returning to many of the places he visited on his previous Zulu Skies adventure.
Together with playing us a song in studio, Doc also let us in on his Oppikoppi experience, collaborating with local artists such as Albert Frost and what he loves most about being on the road.
