Cape Town - We all love Bey and Jay but one of their fans got much more than what he paid for when he hopped  up onto the stage during the couples On The Run II tour in Atlanta.

According to TMZ reports, a man who was later identified as Anthony Charles Thomas Maxwell (age 26), jumped onto the stage following Beyoncé and Jay-Z who had just closed the concert.

However all hell broke loose once back up dancers and security realised that the fan was headed in the direction of Bey and Jay, videos have since surfaced showing the chaos that transpired on stage.

In the video the fan can be spotted wearing a white T-shirt, jumping onto the stage shortly after Beyoncé and Jay-Z finished performing their final single Apes*t at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, this is then followed by an uproar as a troupe of back-up dancers and security rush after the fan.

Speaking to E!News, an Atlanta Police Department spokesperson said , “As the Jay-Z and Beyonce concert was ending late Saturday night, a man later identified as Anthony Charles Thomas Maxwell (age 26) ran onto the stage and approached Jay-Z.

He was quickly stopped by people who were with the performer. Atlanta Police arrived and issued the man a citation for disorderly conduct and released him."

Even though at the time there was no evidence that the fan had made contact with the couple, according to the spokesperson upon later investigation it was discovered that the fan had in fact made contact with Jay-Z. Luckily no one else was hurt during the chaotic stir-up at the scene, however the avid fan was treated for minor injuries.

The singer’s publicist took to Instagram to thank all the fans for their concern,

"They are fine and looking forward to the show tomorrow," she captioned a snap of the duo performing.
