Cape Town - Justin Bieber was performing during a church service when he was overwhelmed by emotion.

The 25-year-old singer was attending a church service in Beverly Hills, when he suddenly became emotional on stage during his rendition of Never Would Have Made It by Marvin Sapp, Entertainment Tonight reported.

According to a witness that was there during the service, "Bieber was nervous to go up and sing because he didn’t want people thinking it was a concert."

The singer shared a clip of his performance on Instagram.

"Sang at church last night," Justin captioned his post. "God is pulling me through a hard season. Having trust in Jesus at your worst times is the absolute hardest. But he is faithful to complete what he started.

"I also want to thank my wife for being such a huge support in my life through this season."

In a recent interview with TMZ, Justin’s wife Hailey’s father, Stephen Baldwin, revealed that the couple would be having a second wedding ceremony, this time in a church.

“I just think that as Christians and as believers they understand that if you don’t have God’s spirit working in your marriage, it just makes it more and more difficult to make it work and have peace and find happiness,” said the 52-year-old actor on the couple’s wedding plans.

This comes after the newlyweds had put their plans for a second wedding on ice in order to focus on Justin’s mental health.
