Cape Town – Singer Selena Gomez has a new music video. The video is for her song Back to You.
The video’s style and setting seem mostly inspired by French-Swiss film director Jean-Luc Godard and also has a whiff of something Wes Anderson-like.
There’s romance, a car set on fire and some gorgeous glossy shots.
A lot of people are saying that the lyrics of the song are about Selena’s famous ex Justin Bieber because they include lines like: “I wanna hold you when I'm not supposed to/When I'm lying close to someone else/You're stuck in my head and I can't get you out of it/If I could do it all again/I know I'd go back to you”.
In case you forgot Selena and Justin had a fiery romance that lasted a number of years and then famously burnt out. Then back in 2017 they reunited for a short lived rekindled romance that ended again in March of this year.
We don’t know if this song is about Justin but we like it and the accompanying video.
