Yay! A brand new video from The Plastics

Cape Town – It’s been quite a while, so we’re happy to be sharing this new video from The Plastics.

The video is for their single All I Really Want and shows the band doing what they do best: making music.

Shot in December 2015 at Digital Forest Studios in Cape Town, the visual style and artistic nature of the video complements the direction the band has taken with their new album - the psychedelic feel coupled with the beauty of nature is something they have always found appealing.

Watch the video here:

Director Barry de Villiers says: "The abstract flashing images were not originally planned. I started filming various textures in and around the studio in between takes and the idea came to me to use flashes of these textures in the video. I think it works really well and adds a special dynamic to the video. I feel the video would not have been the same without these unplanned shots. I am very proud of the final product, and consider it one of my finest edits."

The Plastics: "We're SO excited for everyone to see the video.  We've not released one in fair while, and not done many performance-type videos so it's something different from us.  We've always been about trying out new ideas that interest us, and this is another one of those."

The Plastics are running the following competition: The first person to share a screenshot on Facebook / Instagram / Twitter (and tag The Plastics) that the video has reached 1000 views on YouTube, wins a The Plastics hamper containing a CD, T-Shirt and sticker and a double ticket to the The Plastics’ Kirstenbosch show in Cape Town this weekend! (If the winner is outside CT, he/she will still receive the hamper.) More give-aways to follow, so be sure to keep an eye on The Plastics' social media!
