You can play at Rocking the Daisies and here's how

Cape Town - Are you a DJ, in a band, a singer or musician, and think you have what it takes to make a festival crowd get on their feet, dance, and have them screaming for more? 

Rocking the Daisies, South Africa’s biggest music and lifestyle festival, is looking for two killer acts to join the 2017 line-up that already includes massive international and local names like Flume (DJ set), Two Door Cinema Club, Black Coffee, The Naked and Famous, Joey Bada$$, Cassper Nyovest, Snakehips, Riky Rick and over 200 more. 

The winning acts will 'rock the daisies' on either the festival’s jaw-dropping Main Stage or Electronic Dome with its unmatched sound system during the festival weekend of 5-8 October at Cloof Wine Estate in Darling. This is your chance to show SA festival fans who you are – and perform alongside some of the biggest artists in the music world – and even meet some of them backstage.

Interested? Here’s how to enter:

STEP 1: Be a super hot artist, band or DJ. 
STEP 2: You need to LIKE the Rocking the Daisies Facebook page and RSVP as GOING on the event page. 
STEP 3: Post one song on the event page. It can be a video, YouTube link, Soundcloud mix, or anything that showcases how you’re a master of your craft. You've got ONE entry, be creative! 
STEP 4: Make sure to use the hashtags: #RTD2017 and #RockTheDaisies and tag the Rocking the Daisies Facebook page. 
STEP 5: Rally up the people of the internet, your fans, friends and family to like your entry post; make as much noise as possible! The more likes the better, as that will increase your chances of getting into our top five. The five entries with the highest number of likes will enter the final round, where a poll will open for further voting.

On 14 August at 12:00 the top 12 will be chosen - these are the fan favourites with the most likes. From here the Rocking the Daisies team will select the top six and announce them on Monday 21 August. From 21-25 August, fans will be able to vote for their favourite artist in a poll that will be published on the Daisies Facebook page. The two acts with the highest votes will be announced as the winners on 25 August at 12:00.
