The Rand Show (once known as The Rand Easter Show) has been postponed following President Cyril Ramaphosa's State of Disaster briefing on Sunday.

During the briefing, the president said that the country should implement social distancing procedures to lessen the expected impact of the coronavirus on the nation's population.

Boarders were tightened, foreign visas were revoked, and an ordinance was passed that no gathering of more than 100 people would be allowed.

After listening to President Cyril Ramaphosa's address and in the best interests of our community, we have decided to postpone the show. The event will be rescheduled at a later stage and will be done in consensus with government."
