50 Cent mocks tsunami disaster

Los Angeles – Controversial rapper 50 Cent has caused an outrage after tweeting about the natural disaster in Japan on Friday.

Unlike most celebrity tweets that conveyed sympathy and shock, 50 Cent took to Twitter to crack jokes about the situation, reports The Huffington Post.

"Wave will hit 8am them crazy white boys gonna try to go surfing," he first tweeted on Friday morning.

Later in the day he tweeted again saying: "Look this is very serious people I had to evacuate all my hoe's from LA, Hawaii and Japan. I had to do it. Lol."

Only later did the rapper apparently experience a change of heart, writing that everyone should pray for those who have lost their loved ones.

"Nah this is nuts but what can anyone do about it. Let's pray for anyone who has lost someone. Who have lost their loved ones."

His commiseration however did not last long.

"Man they made a movie about all this 2012 now you think that was a lucky guess," 50 tweeted a few hours later.

As a defence against criticism he finally claimed: "Some of my tweets are ignorant I do it for shock value. Hate it or love it. I'm cool either way 50cent."
