Los Angeles - Ronnie Vannucci's worst ever Christmas present was a "cheese-cutting board".
The Killers drummer admits he's had his fair share of festive disappointments, with one particular Christmas when he turned 18 memorable for the low quality of presents.
He said: "I was 18 and my mum and dad got me a cheese-cutting board and a pair of socks and a really large flannel."
Ronnie, 36, also said he had to spend years hammering away on pots and pans before his parents finally bought him a drum kit, but when they did it was the best present ever.
He added: "[I got] a drum kit when I was seven or something like that. I was one of those kids who would disappear in the garage and beat on the washer and refrigerator for hours.
"My parents were like: 'He's been doing this for a couple of years now, let's buy him a fucking drumkit.'"
Ronnie also said the worst gift he ever gave taught him a harsh lesson as to what is appropriate for your girlfriend.
He said: "When I was dating one girlfriend - this is young Vannucci - I didn't know what to get girls. I got her soap and I think it sent the wrong message.
Now I know what girls want - money and a place in my will."
