Justin Bieber cancels concert

Lisbon - Canadian teen heartthrob Justin Bieber has cancelled one of two scheduled concerts in Portugal next week, just after completing what he admitted had been a rough week in London, promoters said on Saturday.

Within a few days, the 19-year-old pop sensation angered some of his fans for being late on stage, then suffered a health scare and was involved in a foul-mouthed confrontation with a photographer.

Music promoters "Everything is new" said on their website that Bieber cancelled his Tuesday Lisbon concert "due to unforeseen circumstances", but insisted the teen idol was still keen to perform on Monday.

A Portuguese newspaper had said that, while the first date was sold out, ticket sales had been suspended for the second night due to insufficient demand.

Insufficient demand I don't think so. If we can sell out 2 stadiums over about 6 hours. Something isn't right. Honestly I think Justin can't handle his career now and has just hit self destruct mode

Seems to me that "being a man" is just too much for this young boy, I would LOVE to drop him in the Namib for a week with minimum water and almost no food, no shelter, no sleeping bag, no luxuries whatever, just to show him what real problems there are and can be in life. Seems that those that get life handed to them on a silver platter complain the loudest... why? possibly because they don't KNOW what suffering truly means!

Why don't we just cancel Justin Bieber?

Even the Portuguese knows he has no talent.. Just a little boy who's mommy told him he is pretty and can sing.

Even the portuguese? WTF? Grow up some talent, then open your mouth!

Everytime a 'famous person' hit a slow motion downward spiral like this, I ask myself where r the close circle of friends, family, a mentor (Usher in this case) to knock some sense into their deluded 'I'm famous u can't touch me mentality'.

Heartthrob? Heart attack more like. The little dweeb should just bugger off.

I don't really care for his music but my twin girls who are 5 love him. He has his market.....I happened to watch the never say never movie and got a new found respect for him. He has built his way to the top. Yes we adults don't need to like him. His market is for the younger crowd. He is also young and still growing up. He is bound to make mistakes...we all are human. I say give the kid a break.....he is ok.

he's a talented youngster, but the level of fame and hatred that is hurled at him by the world is unfair. He was just a kid. It is never ok to berate a kid the way the world berates him. Imagine if someone hurled abuse at your kid when they were just 13? That's what he's had to live with. People either idolize him, or hate him, no one just treats him like a normal kid.
