Los Angeles - Nick Cannon has been transferred to a hospital in Los Angeles.

The America's Got Talent judge - who was hospitalised while holidaying in Aspen, Colorado with "mild kidney failure" on Wednesday - thanked fans for their well-wishes as he was transferred to a facility closer to the home he shares with wife Mariah Carey and their eight-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.

He tweeted: "Currently being transfered to a hospital in LA. Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me ... I will be a'ight (sic)"

Onlookers revealed Nick - accompanied by his family - was transferred via private jet from Colorado to California.

Road to recovery

One source told Us Weekly magazine: "Nick looked pretty frail and weak, but Mariah was helping him."

Mariah, 41, revealed Nick's condition to be stable but said he is "in a lot of pain", though the couple believe he will be on the road to recovery very soon.

She told People: "As always, he's in good spirits considering the situation. We are hopeful that he'll be 100 percent as soon as possible. We really appreciate everybody's love and support."

The Fantasy hitmaker revealed Nick had been taken ill on her Twitter page on Wednesday and asked fans to pray for her "brave" spouse.

She tweeted: "Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman (sic)"

"Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure". Dear God Please ignore all the starving children in the world and all the wars going on and the murdering of innocents with bombs in the Middle East and the raping of young children by your self appointed Earthly representatives and please give all your special attention to saving millionairess Mariah Carey's millionaire rap artist and actor husband Nick Cannon. I beseech you God to also stop, for the time being, all the help you give famous sports stars to win competitions, and concentrate you magical powers to help this very, very special person. I am a fan of the rich singer so you will hear my prayer, won't you? Amen Of course when he recovers from his "mild kidney failure" because he received expert medical attention from qualified doctors, I am going to claim that god heard my prayers. Hallelujah!
