Prince William, Catherine expecting baby

London - Britain's Prince William and his wife Catherine are expecting a baby, the prince's office says.

The prince's office issued a statement: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby."

It added that Catherine, who married William in April last year, was in hospital in London suffering from acute morning sickness and the pregnancy was in its early stages.
