Woman survives on 10-year diet of chips

Los Angeles - A British woman has survived despite living off a diet of chips for more than 10 years.

Debbie Taylor has eaten nothing but the junk food - BBQ Monster Munch in particular - for over a decade, and while she is still alive the 32-year-old admits her diet has hampered her social life.

''I never go out for dinner with friends or eat with other people because so I'm worried about being expected to eat something else [than chips].

''When people ask me to try something different, I feel sick and dizzy. A teacher tried to get me to eat a chicken nugget and I burst into tears.''

Sophie Ray is similar to Debbie in that she has been living off a diet of cheese and tomato pizza for eight years after a stomach bug left her with a fear of food.

She explained: ''I love pizza. The thought of trying other foods makes me very anxious, I feel sick and clam up.''
