Amor: I'm done fighting

2012-03-16 10:46
Cape Town - Singer Amor Vittone is done fighting with her estranged husband, former Springbok captain Joost van der Westhuizen, reports heat magazine.

In an interview with heat, Amor says that she wants the mud-slinging to stop and to find peace for her family.

Talking about a claim Joost made in an interview with Huisgenoot about never seeing his kids, she says people are now coming up to her asking why she doesn't let Joost see the children.

'Walk in my shoes for a day'

According to Amor, this is not the case, and says Joost sees them at least four or five times a week.

Amor told heat that she has never had anything to say about Joost's ability as a father, but she is just concerned about the wellbeing of their children - Jordan, seven, and Kylie, five.

In the Huisgenoot interview, Joost revealed that he's not able to dress himself, which is a concern for his estranged wife, because she wonders whether he'll be able to drive their children around.

Amor told heat she only has one message for those judging her: "Walk in my shoes for a day and maybe then you might understand what I've been through."

Read the full interview in the March 22-28 edition of heat magazine.

    Amor's statement actually reads: " Yawn ,yawn.yawn, yawn,yawn. "

      hayden.cajee - 2012-03-16 12:20

Amor, your shoes are too small to fill

      Donald - 2012-03-16 12:22

aptly reported under 'entertainment' news 24... but yeah ... yawn yawn yawn

      Linda - 2012-03-16 12:26

I agree .... and to prevent Heat magazine from boring everyone into a coma reporting about this Z list celebrity ... I propose that no one buys the Heat this week. They will soon realise that no one is interested in anything to do with her, her career or her divorce.

  • Denise - 2012-03-16 11:25

Oh dear here we go again...Amor please please just stop running off to the newspapers and magazines. I'm afraid to have to remind you (something someone failed to teach you) actions speak louder than words!!!! Remeber those same shoes you are walking in YOU bought, stop expecting sympathy, you are where you are through your own doings, ask for foregivenes and move on (quietly and without the press) when all is said and done your antics in the media for sympathy and playing the blame game are definately not good for your kids. There are children in the world dying of illness, hunger and so much more so please just stop your whining and allow newspapers and mags the space to report news worthy articles!!!

      Chez - 2012-03-16 11:33

      Very well said Denise.

      Charlie - 2012-03-16 13:23

Could not have said that better.

  • Mark - 2012-03-16 11:28

If she wasn't so hot i wouldn't read this story. I believe she is amazing in the sack

      MissGremlin - 2012-03-16 11:36

Having seen the news reports, her behaviour seems reminicent of a female praying mantis. Nookie might be great, but then she rips your head off...

      Clive - 2012-03-16 11:43

Mark agree with you what a hottie just wish she could move on and get on with it. hope for a speedy outcome for the kids sake.

      Anne - 2012-03-16 11:53

      Dean - 2012-03-16 12:37

There is no way she was ever good in the sack, there's a video to prove it.

  • Chez - 2012-03-16 11:32

Excuse me Amor but there are lots of us out here that have had problems and who have "suffered" one way or another. The difference is that we have not found it necessary to tell the world. I had to deal with an awful ex because the children wanted to see their Daddy. They never knew how much i hated having to sit and talk to him but I did it. Lots and lots of women do this all the time. We HAVE walked in your shoes you dilly woman!!!!#

  • MissGremlin - 2012-03-16 11:34

Good. Now along with being "done fighting" could you also be "done whining" and "done running to the media, every time you break a nail".

  • Carry - 2012-03-16 11:35

  • wendyknez - 2012-03-16 11:49

Stop washing your dirty linen out in public and also stop looking for attention you fool. Always running to the media for attention.

  • Sharon Roberts - 2012-03-16 11:50

    Really Amor.... Really??

  • Anne - 2012-03-16 11:52

O dear God, NOT YOU AGAIN! How incredibly stupid must a person be to persist with attention-seeking when you KNOW that people in the entertainment industry KNOW about you, Amore! And those true stories are busy leeching into the normal world as well ... The only difference between you and Joost is: the people who caught him wanted airtime!

  • Phoenix - 2012-03-16 11:54

Ag shame Amortjie - give it a reast already! Seriously I am SOOO gatvol of seeing this woman's face in the media!

  • TheyTookMyNickLaZynEko - 2012-03-16 12:02

  • Piet - 2012-03-16 12:10

Who's Amor Vittone and Joost van der Westhuizen?

  • Grovè - 2012-03-16 12:12

Goodbye Amor, you're the weakest link. And you can't sing either.

  • chefmorne.stroh - 2012-03-16 12:16

Did we not ALL make it abundantly clear the last time you had a posting on Amore that we really, REALLY!, do not give a flying fudge what goes on between Joost and Amore! I agree with John, "Yawn". Can Amore just build a bridge and get over herself for once? She isn't the only one on the planet who had a crappy or messy divorce.

  • Hermann - 2012-03-16 12:16

"Ag jirre", can't the press leave Amor and Joost alone now. Their lives have nothing to do do with our welfare, our poverty, our affluency, our health. Dammit leave them alone please.

  • Danie - 2012-03-16 12:25

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Can they please stop writing stuff about this lady !!WHO THE F CARES

  • pmbadenhorst - 2012-03-16 12:48

get a life ... seriously WHO CARES ABOUT WHAT this nuts says or thinks

  • Eeny Meeny Miney Mo - 2012-03-16 12:49

The only way to keep their names in the spotlight is to air their dirty laundry in public. They claim to be concerned for their children's welfare b

      Eeny Meeny Miney Mo - 2012-03-16 12:50

But are fighting in public. Pathetic and hopefully that will be the last we hear from them.

  • albert.scherman - 2012-03-16 12:57

I love how no-one likes this bitch. #TeamJoost

  • grieta.mitchley - 2012-03-16 13:02

ag amor!get a life! Daar is baie vroue en mans wat geskei is en veel erger situasies ondervind as jy! Joost is glad nie so bad soos jy wil uitmaak nie! Jy het ook maar geraamtes soos toe jy Joost van Marlene afgevry het! So regtig, meskien moet JY in iemand anders se skoene staan voor jy so jannie jammergat is!

      Lucia - 2012-04-10 12:40

Grieta dis Martie martelgat en Jannie jammerbal!! hehe

  • Liesbet - 2012-03-16 13:08

Again... can't believe I've just read this crap.... bad Liesbet!

  • Ruan Lessing - 2012-03-16 13:12

And so Media24's obsession with Joost & Amor continues (Huisgenoot, Beeld & Rapport)

  • Melinda - 2012-03-16 13:19

Gosh she not that good looking I must tell het my dog wants he's ass back ,, she just want attention get a life who care in anyway??

      Kobus - 2012-03-18 07:15

      Melinda....jy klink slim

  • Charlie - 2012-03-16 13:22

I'm sure if I give her two bucks and take a photo, she'd be more than happy to sell me her shoes, then I'll be able to take a walk in them...

  • roberta.keeling - 2012-03-16 13:24

Hey girlie - now you know what it feels like when you steal another's man for your own bwnwfit. What comes around goes around. You got nothing more then what you deserved.

  • gustav.swanepoel1 - 2012-03-16 14:08

Yet, the self promotion continues on and on and on

  • Carol - 2012-03-16 14:11

Amor get over "ME,MYSELF & I"...For once in your life think about your children AND Joost....My sister,Audrey died 9 years ago from Motor Neurone Disease....She had the ALS which affected her speech, muscles etc.,she could only make strange noises, and sat in an arm-chair in the lounge for 3 & a half years as she could not lay down because of breathing problems...Her 3 children were 15,12 & 3 when she died....So get over yourself Amor,& spare a thought for the man you USED to love!!!!I feel for Joost & your 2 small children. Carol,Cape Town

      Gemma-Leigh Evans - 2012-03-16 20:59

I don't think its fair that Amor is expected to accept all Joosts allegations lying down and his condition is neither her fault nor her problem. She's said she feels for him and what her children will ultimately have to go through, but the woman didn't leave him because of his condition and she has a right to happiness and to make her own choices too!! People are so Damn quick to judge and tell others what they should do...but they don't have to live with the consequences!! Of course she's all \me, myself and I\ because everyones siding with Joost and looking at her like this horrible woman in this whole story. Like she says...walk a day in her shoes.

  • Mable - 2012-03-16 15:41

More interesting news, water is wet

  • chris.gryvenstein - 2012-03-16 17:37

Quite frankly my Dear, we couldn't give a damn ....

  • Tracey - 2012-03-17 09:13

Amor, give it a rest now! This tit-for-tat media spotlight about your divorce and what a difficult time you've had, is becoming boring and repetitive. (Millions of other people go through bad divorces, and don't run to the media). Try and be the better person, hold your head up high and walk away from spotlight.

  • sue.moll - 2012-03-17 12:12

Too late Amor the damage is done - you should be ashamed of yourself.

  • Trevor - 2012-03-17 13:34

Hell she has aged and starting to show signs of to much plastic surgery...damn...!!!

  • Bianca-Anne - 2012-03-17 16:13

Saw her one early morning at Grassmere with Joost and her parents - then I knew I really don't like her base on the conduct she displayed that morning. It was in 2008.

  • Helen - 2012-03-17 18:25

get over yourself P U LEEZ!!!!! Stooping as low as the Heat Magazine are we!!!! You could always put measures in place to ensure the kids were okay when with their Dad - you are using his illness as an excuse! Cant you see that people are tired of your sad story - you are making things worse for yourself daily!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rene - 2012-03-19 06:04

The heat cover makes her look like some kind of animal... I dont know how anybody can find this woman attractive... and her attitude makes her even more revoulting.... YUK...

  • AliceVLo - 2012-03-19 08:11

Urgh Amor...enough already! How insignificant your life must be to carry on and on and on and on and on and on....You are not well liked, don't go making things worse for yourself. You're done fighting only because you keep losing this battle. Just get a life and a real one too.

  • vastis1 - 2012-03-19 08:59

IF you are done fighting, proove it by shutting up! the more you talk the more there is to say!

  • Sandy - 2012-03-19 12:08

  • Colin - 2012-03-21 06:17

once a slapper always a slapper..... silly illbred tart

  • ydpreez - 2012-03-23 02:52

tragedy has struck...both amor and joost have made mistakes...him maybe more than her...being a woman and after seeing the video i can imagine her hurt, pain and anger....but...being mortal and all of us being sinners...for the sake and respect of your children....amor you say you still love joost...why not do what you promised when you married him...hes a dying man...take him in...find caregiver...let him spend what time he has left close to the children...God should forgive the end you will be able to live better with yourself...because you did what was wish for your whole family is that all turns out well...and that you will be happy...

  • Laratanza - 2012-06-07 09:35
