Gareth Cliff producer suspended for F-word

Cape Town - Gareth Cliff is letting the Twittersphere know how he feels about the word "Fuck", reports IOL.

The 5FM jock tweeted early on Tuesday morning that executive producer Thabo Modisane had been suspended for a week because the expletive was audible in a soundbite played during Cliff's breakfast show.

IOL reports that Cliff contextualised the tweet on air, explaining that Modisane had let the F-word be audible in a clip and his suspension was due to one listener complaint.

Cliff's tweets read as follows:

He then attempted to get the word trending on the social networking site, without much success. *

The BCCSA recently dismissed a case against Cliff where he referred to a female caller as "Dear Bitch".

*According to one of Cliff's later tweets, the expletive was trending early on Tuesday. However, at the time of publishing this article (10:55), #fuck was not trending on Twitter in South Africa.
