Cape Town – The Hout Bay restaurant Suikerbossie confirmed on Wednesday that the wedding reception of the South African Test captain, Graeme Smith, and his Irish fiancée, Morgan Deane, will be held here.
David Smith told reporters that the reception for the wedding will be held next Saturday in his restaurant.
"The couple will have their reception here next Saturday and it will be a cocktail event," he said.
Smith and his fiancée wanted to have a very intimate wedding attended by only close friends and family, said his personal assistant, Fiona de Sousa.
Fell in love with it
She wouldn't say where the wedding would be held. "Graeme and Morgan want a simple, elegant cocktail party, because they are both very private people.
"Suikerbossie looks out on the mountain and sea."
Lawns surround the African-inspired buildings.
The restaurant has had many famous visitors, among them Nelson Mandela and the British singer Sir Cliff Richard.
Smith discovered the restaurant during his book launch in 2009 and apparently fell in love with it.
