Johannesburg - Singer Steve Hofmeyr's son, Armand, was arrested for speeding on the N1 north early on Sunday morning.
Armand, 22, was caught driving at 175km/h.
According to metro police spokesperson Edna Mamonyane, Hofmeyr jnr, also a singer, was pulled over at 0:45 in the morning on the N1 north at the Olifantsfontein off-ramp.
Hofmeyr jnr paid the bail of R500 at the Midrand police station, said Mamonyane.
He will appear in the Randburg Magistrate's Court this week.
He was approached for comment, but hung up when he heard it was a Beeld reporter.
Hofmeyr jnr spent a night in jail in March after being arrested for alleged drunken driving.
