The Covid-19 pandemic has us all on lockdown, but it also has us collectively reflecting on our own lives.

The same goes for some of our celebrities who are using this time to distance themselves from social media in order to block out the distractions.

Here are some of the celebrities that have taken a break from social media:

Ard Matthews

Technology isn’t all bad and although we might find it distracting at times, there are ways to use it to your advantage.

Bridget Masinga

While many struggle to adjust to the lockdown rules, radio presenter Bridget Masinga has spoken out about the psychological and emotional impact the pandemic has had on her.

She decided therefore to steer clear from media platforms during the lockdown to stay positive.

“I’ve been off social media for a little bit. I’ve just sort of been indoors and processing everything that’s going on and taking it all in,” she captioned her post on Instagram.

 Pearl Thusi

Is it a social media break or could she be done with the platforms altogether? Well, these are the questions that Pearl Thusi’s fans have been asking themselves ever since the media personality seemingly deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts at the beginning of April.

Reason

Amid media personalities Loot Love and Reason, who share a child together, seemingly unfollowing each other on Instagram, rapper Reason uploaded a black image without a caption and took a step back from social media for weeks.

Recently, he made a return by releasing a new single titled SBWL You dedicated to lonely people wishing to be with people close to their hearts during the lockdown.
