Cape Town - Beyoncé will be giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of her album The Lion King: The Gift, People reports.

Titled Beyoncé Presents: Making the Gift, the hour-long special shows candid footage and interviews about each track with the people who were involved in making the album, including the 38-year-old singer’s seven-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, Variety reports.

The Grammy winner posted a teaser showing a number of behind-the-scenes clips from the special on her Instagram account.

“Viewers will be taken through the creative process as Beyoncé carefully curates the album, creating new music and collaborating with exceptionally talented artists and producers, while seeking inspiration from deeply rooted African influences,” the synopsis reads.

Queen Bey had previously said she wanted the album to feel as authentic as possible, E! Online reports.

"I wanted to put everyone on their own journey to link the storyline," she said in July when the album was released.

"It was important that the music wasn’t only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me.”

The special is set to air today in the US.
