Castle Lite’s mother of all parties

Johannesburg - Castle Lite is competing for the party of the year title after it unlocked one of the hottest spring parties at Zoo Lake in Johannesburg this week.

The beer brand hosted some of the biggest, trending names in the country, from Gilbert “Gemini Major” Kamoto to Rikhado “Riky Rick” Makhado.

But it was the performance of hit single Mayo by DJ Speedsta that drove the audience crazy. Fans got into a selfie-taking feeding frenzy with the rappers.

Nothing was left to chance when it came to the bling stage set-up, to impress both the crowds and the artists.

The first stage was in the middle of the park. Artists climbed to the top of it to sing. At the same time, another artist performed on another stage on the far left and lights were switched off on the first stage to create some phantom synchronised and choreographed performances. This concluded the show.

The event was more than booze and music. Clothing shops flogged their wares in the park and graffiti artists worked their magic on the makeshift walls.

Castle Lite guests had a variety of the company’s brands and there were no limits. Unfortunately, the fans were only offered Castle Lite to quench their thirst. Some people seemed interested only in drinking and hogged the bar counter throughout the evening.

Stars spotted in the crowd included Ambitiouz Entertainment artists Mthembeni “Emtee” Ndevu and Jabulani “Sjava” Hadebe as well as rappers Yung Swiss and Shane Eagle.
