Cape Town - David Beckham has talked candidly about his relationship with his wife and fashion designer, Victoria.

In an interview with Australian TV show The Project, Beckham was open about his relationship with Victoria, Daily Mail reports, admitting that his marriage of 19 years is “a little more complicated” than people think.

“To have been married for the amount of time that we have, it’s always hard work,” Beckham says in the trailer.

“Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. I’ve noticed that with my children,” he adds.

The 43-year-old’s interview comes weeks after he was evidently absent from the Vogue magazine cover featuring his family. His absence sparked divorce rumours, The Sun reports.

In the interview with Vogue, Posh Spice opened up, telling the publication that she and David are used to ignoring negative rumours about their relationship.

“We both realise that we’re stronger together than we are as individuals,” Victoria said.

“Would either of us be in the position that we are in now had we not met and been together all those years ago? It’s all about the family unit. We are much stronger the six of us than we would be if we were individuals.

“We respect that family bond and that is key.”

Beckham has previously spoken about his marriage and their values as parents, Hello! magazine reports.

“People have talked about do we stay together because it’s a brand? Of course not,” David said.

“We stay together because we love each other. We stay together because we have four amazing children.

“We’re a strong family unit. We’ve got strong parents, we were brought up with the right values. Of course, you make mistakes over the years. We all know marriage is difficult at times, and it’s about working through it.”

Seems like the divorce rumours are just that – rumours.
