Cape Town - Hollywood actor George Clooney recalled the terrifying moment he was held at gunpoint – and it sounds like it happened more than once.
The Money Monster star described the harrowing ordeal at the London premiere of his new miniseries, Catch-22, which he attended with his wife, Amal.
Clooney, who produced and partially directed the adaptation of Joseph Heller’s novel set during World War II, stars as Lieutenant Scheisskopf.
The 58-year-old actor told Metro UK about the time he had guns pointed at his chest after being asked what the most dangerous situation he’d ever found himself in was.
"I’ve spent a lot of time in Sub-Saharan Africa and [got] pulled out of trucks with guys putting guns to your chest," he said.
"I’ve been in some funky spots. We were trying to bring attention to South Sudan and things like that," he added.
"It’s a small group of people, and crazy stuff can happen." he continued, "There are a lot of those 'Oh well, this might be it' and that was part of life, of what you do."
According to Grazia, the Oscar winner recently shut down rumours that he was going to be a godparent to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s baby in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
"That would be a bad idea," he said.
"I shouldn’t be the [godfather]. I’m a father of twins; I can barely do that."
He then added: "I’m not going to be the godfather. I promise you that. I’m fairly sure."
