Cape Town - Janie Erasmus' mother describes her daughter's wedding day as incredibly beautiful, emotional and special.

Janie, former Deaf Miss South Africa, married the love of her life in a fairy tale-like ceremony in Muldersdrift this past weekend.

Janie (30) was crowned Deaf Miss SA in 2015 and the following year she took the title at the Deaf Miss World pageant.

She met her Prince Charming, Erwin Farago (32), on Facebook in February last year.

They first started chatting on social media and got to know each other better before they started dating.

Love blossomed quickly and by December the pair were engaged.

"We started making wedding plans in October," the bride's mother, Annette Erasmus revealed exclusively to YOU.

At 15:30 on Saturday afternoon, Janie walked down the aisle at Moon & Sixpence in Muldersdrift on Johannesburg's West Rand in a snow-white gown.

After an emotional ceremony, the lovebirds were officially declared husband and wife.

Guests were then treated to a delicious three course meal before hitting the dance floor.

"We danced until midnight!" the bride's mother reveals.
