The Duke of Sussex this week visited the site of the Angola landmines as part of his southern Africa tour. His late mother Princess Diana first raised awareness of the issue with a visit in 1997,  reports.

On the fifth day of the Sussexes’ 10-day tour, Prince Harry donned body amour as he revisited the site of his mother’s famous minefield walk.

The images, which were shared onto the Sussex Royal official Instagram page, payed homage to the late royal and her humanitarian work done in Huambo to bring global attention to the crisis of unexploded landmines.

“Following in the footsteps of his mother, Princess Diana, this morning The Duke of Sussex visited a de-mining site in Dirico, Angola, to raise awareness of the danger and prevalence of landmines that still exists today,” read the caption.
