Cape Town - Beyoncé truly lived up to her Queen Bey title when she stepped out at the 2018 Wearable Art Gala draped in head-to-toe gold!

From her ornate head-piece to her glittering Falguni & Shane gold gown, the 36-year-old pop star made quite the fashion statement as she arrived at the Waco Theatre in Los Angeles for the art auction award evening, US Weekly reports.

But it was her mini-me accessory in the form of daughter Blue Ivy who really turned heads.

The 6-year-old made sure to match her famous mom in the style stakes wearing her own glittering gold gown and headpiece by Annakiki.

Turns out their OTT royal outfits were inspired by the event’s Black Panther theme, From Waco to Wakanda – a reference to the fictional African country in the blockbuster movie, according to TIME.

The fundraiser, which was hosted by B’s mom Tina Knowles Larson and her actor hubby, Richard Lawson, saw Beyoncé being honoured with the Humanitarian Award.

In a taped video message former First Lady Michelle Obama praised her “sister” for brining clean water to people across the globe and helping people in her hometown of Houston, Texas, following a devastating hurricane last year.

Meanwhile Blue proved her parent’s business skills have already rubbed off on her as she tried her hand at bidding on a $19 000 (R227 000) painting of a young Sidney Poitier before dad, Jay Z (48) intervened. However she didn’t go home empty-handed, taking a $10 000 (about R19 500) Samuel Levi Jones piece instead.

Beyoncé shared some snaps of the shindig on Instagram, including an adorable one of her and Blue getting ready…
