Talk about it being over before it really started.
Meryl Streep’s daughter Grace Gummer (33) has called it quits on her marriage to Tay Strathairn just nine months after they tied the knot, US Weekly reports.
Court documents obtained by Us Weekly reveal that the Mr Robot actress filed for divorce last month from the 39-year-old musician and actor. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.
The two, who started dating in 2017, wed on 10 July last year but broke up just a month later. They don’t have kids.
The exes were friends for many years thanks to their famous parents, both of whom are Oscar winners. Meryl (70) starred with Tay’s father, David Strathairn (71) in the 1994 thriller The River Wild.
“They say we met then, but no one remembers,” Grace told her friends at the premiere of HBO documentary Spielberg in October 2017.
Meryl has four children with her husband of 40 years, sculptor Don Gummer: Grace, Louisa Jacobson (28), Mamie Gummer (36), and Henry Wolfe (40).
