The coronavirus outbreak is making it impossible for Tom Cruise to complete his mission filming the latest instalment of his hit franchise right now.
The 57-year-old was forced to leave the Mission: Impossible 7 set in Venice, Italy, after the area was deemed a high-risk zone for the virus, People reports.
Production of the action sequel has since been paused for the foreseeable future after 299 cases of the virus in the area were reported.
Paramount Pictures was set to film in the country for three weeks but this has been halted out of concern for the safety of the crew, the production house revealed in a statement, Mirror reported.
"Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our cast and crew, and efforts of the local Venetian government to halt public gatherings in response to the threat of coronavirus, we are altering the production plan for our three-week shoot in Venice, the scheduled first leg of an extensive production for Mission: Impossible 7," the statement read.
The production house has promised to continue to monitor the situation as well as "work alongside health and government officials as [the situation] evolves".
According to CNN, at least seven people were confirmed to have died due to the outbreak in northern Italy.
