Zimbambwean artist Oliver Mtukudzi has made his fan’s dream come true recently. The muso had lunch with the unidentified man after his son Winston Manjengwa made the request on social media.
Winston tweeted the award-winning artist to let him know how his father, who is a huge fan of his music, is excited about seeing him perform on Friday 10 August. The Jazz maestro was set to perform at The Warehouse in Durban for a Women’s Day event.
The Neria hit maker responded and said, “Ask him if he is free for breakfast on Friday.” However, as life would have it, things didn’t go according to plan. Nonetheless, the two met for lunch instead.
Proving he is indeed a man of his word, Oliver met up with the man on Friday in Durban. After the meeting Oliver took a picture with the young man’s father, who appeared to be having a good time, and shared it on Twitter saying, “We didn’t have breakfast but we have lunch and we laughed about the old days. Thank you for taking time out to see me Shumba.”
