Owen Wilson has been keeping his third child under wraps.
Wilson’s ex-girlfriend has made a public plea for the actor to meet his daughter and spend some time with her.
According to Metro, Wilson has never met the one-year-old.
Wilson’s ex, Varunie Vongsvirates, gave birth to a baby girl, named Lyla Wilson, in October 2018.
The actor and Vongsvirates dated on and off or five years, and split up before their daughter was born.
New court documents seen by Radar Online reveal that Wilson pays $25 000 (R375 000) a month for the child’s upkeep.
The documents also state that he made a one-off payment of $70 000 (R1,05 million) to cover the cost of a night nurse, labour coach and Vongsvirates’ legal fees.
The Wedding Crashers actor demanded a paternity test when Vongsvirates claimed he was the father of her child, reports The Sun. Wilson has since agreed to add his daughter to his Screen Actors Guild medical insurance.
Vongsvirates filed for sole custody and under the agreement makes all decisions regarding Lyla’s health, education and welfare.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said the actor is “not involved at all” with their daughter.
Vongsvirates says Wilson “helps financially but it’s never been about that”.
“Lyla needs a father. It’s ironic how [Owen] keeps getting these father roles. He’s playing a father in his new movie, and he’s never met his own daughter.”
When asked if she had a message for her ex, Vongsvirates said, “You should see your daughter, she’s incredible, you’re really missing out. She looks just like you.”
Wilson has two sons; Robert Ford Wilson (8) with his former girlfriend, Jade Duell, and Finn Wilson (5) with fitness trainer Caroline Lindqvist, who is a long-standing friend of the actor.
