Amid the coronavirus pandemic that has their country in its grip, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall still managed to find a moment to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary.

Clarence House released a touching new portrait of the couple, who are seen sitting on the front porch of their Birkhall home in Scotland, holding Camilla’s two beloved Jack Russells, Beth and Bluebell

The moment was made all the more special given that the two were only reunited on Monday after the 72-year-old duchess, who tested negative for the virus, ended a 14-day self-isolation on the Balmoral estate in Scotland.

Camilla’s quarantine followed 71-year-old Charles’ encounter with the illness, which he’s managed to recover from after suffering mild symptoms.

The pair married in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall on 9 April 2005 following a 30-year long romance. However, there’s unlikely to be any big celebrations of their crystal anniversary in keeping with the current social distancing norms.

Camilla, like the rest of the royal family, has been doing her bit to help boost morale in England.

She recently paid tribute to the thousands of people who’ve registered as National Health Service (NHS) volunteers, even phoning 85-year-old Doris Winfield from Hertfordshire, who has been self-isolating, for a chat.

Meanwhile Charles, who’s spoken of the "strange, frustrating and often distressing" experience of being without friends and family, opened the NHS Nightingale hospital in London by video link last week.
