Windsor - If ever there were ever a way to throw royal wedding etiquette out the window, these cheeky guests sure found it.

Just hours after Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s wedding ceremony wrapped up, several guests took to eBay to advertise their gift bags.

According to Daily Mail, some of the 1 200 “community champions” invited to spend the day outside St George’s Chapel, saw an opportunity to make a quick buck and offered their goodie bags to the highest bidder.

The non-VIPs, who consisted of members of the public specially invited to Harry and Meghan’s big day, each received a woven tote with the couple’s initials and wedding date printed on it.

The bag contained a commemorative chocolate coin, bottled water, a fridge magnet, an official order of service and a tub of shortbread, The Sun writes.

Buyers have already bought some of the gift bags for £400 (R6 855) or more and the bidding is said to end on Saturday 26 May, US Weekly reports.

“Buy a piece of history and memorabilia to celebrate a momentous special day for Britain and the royal family,” one seller wrote.

While another attempted to make their offer seem a bit more inclusive and “generous”.

“I’m happy to send the gift bag internationally if you’re happy to cover the postage”.

According to Daily Mail, one later claimed they’d be donating the cash to charity but that they’d initially “forgotten” to mention it on their eBay posting.

We guess no matter where in the world you find yourself, there’ll always be naughty chancers.
