For the royals who are quite the globetrotters, packing and preparing for extended trips should come easy.
But it’s the unusual items they take along that have caused many royal-watcher eyebrows to rise.
The Queen and Prince Charles always carry a black outfit on standby in their luggage in case of a sudden death, according to the Mirror.
This rule came about after the then princess learnt of the sad passing of her father, King George, during her visit to Kenya in 1952 at the age of 25.
Among the bizarre items was also a special roll of toilet paper for Her Majesty, a monogrammed kettle and a hot water bottle, an insider told International Business Times.
In addition to the strange items they pack for their travels, Marie Claire revealed that the 93-year-old and the 70-year-old Prince of Wales also travel with pints of their blood during extended trips in the event that they need transfusions.
Express UK also reported that the only time the queen carries cash is on a Sunday and she uses it as an offering at the local church.
