Cape Town – Queen Elizabeth confessed there’s one colour she’d never wear – and gave a pretty good explanation why.
Her Majesty has been known for wearing bright-coloured suits, dresses and perfectly-tailored outfits when attending public events, the Business Times reports.
But according to royal biographer, Robert Hardman the queen refuses to wear beige and, instead, wears bright colours to stand out when she attends royal events.
"My favourite remark she ever said was, 'I can never wear beige because nobody will know who I am'," Hardman said, adding that the queen is "engagingly modest".
The author went on to say that the 93-year-old only wears neutral colours when she’s at home relaxing and out of the public eye, the Daily Express reveals.
One of the queen’s most memorable outfits was a lime green suit that she wore when she went to Cheshire with Duchess Meghan, according to New Idea.
The royal event was highly publicised because it was her first royal outing with the former Suits actress following Meghan’s nuptials to Prince Harry.
