Award-winning comedienne Tumi Morake launched her book titled ‘And Then Mama said.’ Even though she says it’s not a biography, it does reveal quite personal details about her marriage.

DARK TIME IN HER MARRIAGE

At the launch Tumi revealed that she penned down even the tussles and toils of her marriage. She says she went through a lot and there was a point it seemed like things were only going downward between her and her actor husband, Mpho Osei Tutu. The former Our Perfect Wedding (OPW) presenter  didn’t go into details of what was actually going. However, the couple decided to seek help and had to go for counselling.

FINDING HER STRENGTH

The mom of three told media personality, Anele Mdoda, who hosted the book launch, what kept her strong was what their counsellor told them.  Their counsellor said in the history of having her office she had never heard couples speaking so kindly and fondly of and to each other like she and Mpho did.

HUSBAND APPROVES

The host of #WTF Tumi says including their love problems in the book had the blessing of his hubby. Sharing his reaction, Tumi says he said, ‘if it helps your story, do it. We have nothing to hide.’ The comedienne quickly added the pun, “and that’s when I knew, my mother did say he was the one,” she jokingly said, to which the crowd responded in laughter.
