It seems the Duchess of Sussex, who was the guest editor of British Vogue’s special September 2019 issue titled Forces for Change, can now add bestselling magazine editor to her CV.

The issue sold out in just 10 days, making it the magazine’s biggest-selling issue of the past decade, Forbes reported.

The special edition featured a collage of international change-makers which included former US first lady Michelle Obama, with whom Meghan had a candid conversation, Hello! Magazine reports.

British Vogue editor Edward Enninful took to his Instagram page to announce the exciting news.

In the caption he revealed that “newsstand sales” of the magazine “are up in the second half of 2019”. “. . . But the real highlight for me is the performance of our September 2019 issue. #ForcesForChange, guest edited by the Duchess of Sussex @SussexRoyal, was our fastest-selling issue in the history of #BritishVogue (sold out in 10 days) and the biggest-selling issue of the past decade,” he said.

In celebration of her success, the duchess also posted the ground-breaking achievement on the Sussex Instagram page, sharing a behind-the-scenes clip about the creation of the special issue.

“To celebrate, we wanted to share this never-before-seen video behind the scenes with Edward and the Duchess of Sussex on the creation of this special issue. Please note, this was filmed last August in London,” the caption read.

“Congratulations to all of those who took part in the 2019 September issue, and huge thanks to those who supported and helped make this a success!”

In the clip, Meghan and Edward briefly chat about the magazine, and about midway through the video the mother of one surprises Edward with glittery hats and party blowers, Daily Mail reported. The two don the hats, blow the party favours and collapse into giggles as they celebrate their accomplishment.
