The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in Nyanga, Cape Town, amid a rousing welcome from ululating local residents.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle kicked off their African tour by spending their first day in one of South Africa’s most well-known townships – but without baby Archie.
The couple were met by representatives of the Justice Desk non-governmental organisation, Meghan looking gorgeous in a black-and-white print dress and walking hand in hand with Prince Harry, who wore a white shirt and black formal pants.
Four-month-old Archie was not in sight but apparently left behind and looked after by his nanny because he is a “special passenger,” DailyMail reported.
The royals visited the NGO, a human rights group that locally assists young girls with self-defense, self-awareness and safety. The group is also supported by the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, where Harry serves as president and Meghan as vice-president.
