"They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself," American artist, film director, and producer Andy Warhol once said.

At Channel24 we started discussing change a long time ago already.

As we were planning our sleek new design, the first in nearly a decade, we delved deeper into what it was we wanted to say as a publication. Entertainment might be at the core of what we report on, but there’s so much more to it. We want to contribute to positive conversations and enriching experiences both within and outside our field of expertise.

Last Saturday we welcomed our sister publication, Arts24 under the editorship of the extremely talented Lindokuhle Nkosi. Side-by-side, and together with our mother brand News24, we’ll cover the arts and entertainment industry from every possible angle.

While Arts24 will cover contemporary Pan-African visual, literary, and performance arts - Channel24 will move to further cement its status as South Africa’s premier entertainment news destination.

Our focus will be to provide readers with a diverse and multi-cultural offering of local and international entertainment news, as well as well-researched and in-depth film, TV, and music reviews and analysis.

We want to enrich, inspire, and inform our millions of readers uninterrupted daily.

Welcome to the new Channel24. We hope you like it as much as we do.
